DESCRIPTION: EPW - Patek Philippe, Genève, split-seconds chronograph with 30-minute register, 46mm, 18K gold OF original PP.Co case, slide on band near 11 to allow/prevent chronograph activation, gold cuvette with signature ring, white enamel DS dial, fancy gold Louis XV style hands, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 24J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#157205 with matching serial number to cuvette. Comes as pictured with a fitted leather Patek Philippe & Co. box which is additionally marked for retailer William Barthman of New York and also with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives indicating a 1911 date of manufacture and a February 25th, 1913 date of sale. Gross weight of assembled watch 56.5 dwt (87.9 g). An attractive example of this Patek Philippe complication.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good chronograph, split-seconds, and minute register functions, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, few small micro-fine scratches; dial with scattered hls, patched edge chip outside minute chapter near 4, very short scratch left of 4; nearly mint hands; case shows very light wear, rear with rippling of reflection through its central portions and some small traces of what appear to be faint remains of previously engraved initials suggesting past polishing to remove initials, few pinpoint nicks to band; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal. Box shows little wear, tear to majority of leather surface over rear hinge causing some misalignment when closing unless lid is directed in proper position.
